Tasmanian Pademelons (animals similar to kangaroos) live in woodsy areas like rain forests close to open spaces where they can find food.  Since it is a nocturnal animal the Tasmanian Pademelon will hide and rest during the day and come out at night to feed on grass, small shrubs and seedlings. It is prey to the well known Tasmanian devil and some eagles.
